Well another name that is used to describe Internet Marketing is Online Marketing, and it is the method used of promoting products, services, or a brand over the Internet. Under that umbrella it would include things like email marketing and many other advertising promotional activities that are undertaken world wide.

The Internet as altered the way businesses market their products, services or brand. What is more, Internet Marketing also deals with producing and placing adverts all the way through the many various steps of the customer’s engagement phase.

Display advertising is where you advertise for instance on websites or blogs. This may consist of many different formats and include things such as text, images, video, and audio. The most important idea of display advertising is to deliver general advertisements of products and brand awareness to site visitors.

Search Engine Marketing:
This is a form of Internet marketing that involves the promotion of websites via paid advertising thus increasing a company’s visibility in the search engines results pages.

Search Engine Optimization:
Search engine optimization or SEO for short is the method of moving the visibility of a web site or web page, hopefully upwards in the search engines unpaid results, this is often referred to as “organic” results. In general, the higher you are in the results page then the more visitors you will receive and then these visitors can be converted in to customers.

Email Marketing:
As the name suggests, this is a marketing method that entails reaching out to your customers via email messages. The purpose generally is to send email ads and is meant to build trust and loyalty, not forgetting brand awareness amongst your customers that are on your email list.

Social Media Marketing:
Social media marketing refers to the practice of acquiring attention or web site traffic via social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest and many more similar sites. This involves the efforts of creating content that attracts attention and that also encourages readers on those social sites to share it. They also allow you to interact with others to build relationships.
